GQEP acquires EdTech startup MathPal

As part of the company’s mission to assist public schools in the Philippines to become world-class learning institutions, Global Quality Education Providers recently acquired EdTech startup MathPal. In the words of GQEP president Ines Basaen, “This acquisition enables GQEP to adhere to one of its key guiding principles, and that is to promote a rights-based approach to quality education.” Beyond being just a marketing and CSR tool for GQEP, MathPal’s proprietary learning videos are viewed as strategic for a possible company foray into the private tutoring industry.
